Benoquin Cream (Monobenzone) is a topical depigmenting medication, used primarily for treating of Vitiligo which is characterized by white patches on the skin due to loss of melanocytes.

How to use Benoquin


Benoquin Cream (Monobenzone) is a topical depigmenting medication, used primarily for treating of Vitiligo which is characterized by white patches on the skin due to loss of melanocytes.

It acts by reducing the amount of melanin and bringing about uniform colouring of the patient`s skin. This cream is not effective in treating hyper-pigmentation resulting from other pigments.

Benoquin Dosage


Vitiligo patients should apply a thin layer of Benoquin Cream (Monobenzone) on the affected areas, between 2 and 3 times daily or as otherwise directed by a physician.

Significant results are usually seen after 1 to 4 months of usage. If no result is visible after 4 months of use, your physician may direct you to discontinue the use of Benoquin.

Benoquin Side Effects


Common side effects of Benoquin Cream (Monobenzone) include itchiness, redness, and mild irritation. If any persist or become worrisome, inform your physician.

Benoquin Precautions


Benoquin Cream (Monobenzone) increases skin`s sensitivity to UV rays. Avoid exposure to direct sunlight and any form of UV sun lamps while using the cream. When exposure to direct sunlight is unavoidable, protect your skin with thick clothing aand use high factor sunscreen.

Do not use Benoquin for cosmetic purposes. It is only recommended for treating vitiligo when prescribed by a physician.
