About Gentalene: Gentalene Plus Cream (Beclomethasone Dipropionate/Neomycin/Clotrimazole) is a medicine indicated for persons suffering from different conditions caused by fungal cells. In most cases, this medicine is prescribed to patients suffering from athlete’s foot as well as jock itch though it can be used on other skin infections caused by fungal cells. This medicine works by impairing the production of the membrane in cells. This helps to prevent any further growth or reproduction of the fungal cells and allows the body to act on them.

How to use Gentalene

Your physician will direct you on how to use this medicine. You can also read the instructions leaflet provided together with the cream to constantly remind yourself how to apply correctly for the medicine. Before each application, ensure that you have cleaned your hands and the area to be treated well. Leave both to dry and then apply the correct amount of the medicine as prescribed by your physician. This in most cases is twice per day, everyday continuously for 2 to 4 weeks depending on how your doctor has determined the treatment should last. Do not cover the area that you have applied the cream but rather, leave it to dry naturally. You should be able to notice improvements within the coming weeks and in case, you don’t talk to your physician for further advice. Remember to wash your hands after each application to prevent spreading the cream to unaffected areas.

Gentalene Dosage

Depending on how severe the condition you are treating is, your physician will prescribe a matching dosage for it. For normal mild conditions caused by fungal cells, adult patients are requested to apply moderate amounts of the cream twice a day. This should be early in the morning and late at night before bed. 2 weeks in most cases is enough time for improvements to be witnessed but this varies, and your doctor may prescribe a dosage that will last you for up to 4 weeks.
