Ketasma (Ketotifen Fumarate) is a medicine used as a treatment for asthma. It helps reduce the occurrence of asthma attacks on patients. It however does not stop asthma attacks and is only a good option when taken continuously in asthma prophylaxis.
Ketasma can be categorized as a non-bronchodilator medicine and works by prevention of unnecessary activities in the airways as well as prevention of release of histamine, leukotrienes and other chemicals that mediate asthma inflammations.
